Caribbean Rum Punch Recipe

Caribbean Rum Punch Recipe

Sweet pineapple juice, tangy orange juice, and our very own Beeble Honey Rum is a match made in heaven (if we say so ourselves).

Rum punch is a renowned Caribbean concoction that adds a tropical twist to a fruit punch. It makes for the summer party drink - quick to prepare and dangerously easy to drink...

The History of The Rum Punch

It is uncertain who actually made the first rum punch cocktail but its thought that the drink first arrived at the British shores from India during the British East Indian Trade in the 17th century, making it one of the oldest cocktails in history.

British sailors drunk a lot on their long voyages from Britain to South East Asia and eventually the beer and wine they had brought with them to last, ran out. Quickly, the sailors came up with the idea to create a drink made from ingredients that were available to them in India. This included arrack, spices and lemon. A little later down the line Jamaican rum was replaced with the arrack to make what we now known as a "Caribbean Rum Punch".

A Beeble Rum Punch

The native fruits found in traditional rum punches, like orange and pineapple, provide a natural sweetness which is the perfect match to our Beeble Honey Rum.

A Beeble Top Tip! If you’re using lots of ice and you find that your drink is getting too diluted, try replacing some of the ice with frozen pineapple chunks, mango chunks, or berries. This will ensure your drink keeps cool without adding too much water.
